at St. Petersburg Country Club

The New Year’s Invitational has enjoyed the participation of outstanding players from around the world.

C.J. Easley won the 2023 New Year's Invitational Championship with a score of 208.

 

The Tournament

 

 

Entrants in the Championship Division must have a USGA Handicap not greater then 2.0. The tournament format will be competed over the course of 54Holes, Medal Play format, from the Championship Tees. The Championship division will consist of the first 84 paid entries accepted. 

 

The entry fee of $425 will be charged at the point of acceptance into the event. Entry fee includes tournament rounds, a practice round, as well as food and beverage for the duration of the event. For practice round information, please utilize the tournament information drop down tab above.

For the tournament rounds, boxed lunches and on-course refreshments will be provided to the competitors each day. This year, contestants will have the option of walking or riding for all rounds. 

 

Private housing with member families will be available by request on a limited basis. A list of hotels within a reasonable distance of the club will be provided at the time of entry acceptance.

 

Champion and runner up crystal will be presented following the conclusion of play on Sunday. The top finisher among Mid-Am (25 & Older) will also receive a crystal award. Merchandise prizes to those players and other top finishers will be available at that time.

 

Entries will be accepted based on overall record, prior to the NYI participation, timeliness of entry, as well as promptness of payment. Payments can be made through golf genius and will be documented with timing for accuracy. Entrants will be emailed notification of their acceptance, at which point they have 48 hours to make entry payment. Players that do not make the payment within 48 hours will be moved to the bottom of the waitlist.
